What do you mean “what have I been up to?”
“Lots” is the short answer…
Here’s the medium one:
- Sorting nominations for the ROCK THE HOUSE initiative (see below)
- Helping plan some of our festivals in Cheltenham for this year
- Drinking real ale and coming up with RIDICULOUS ideas for the 2011 Jazz Fringe
- Winning a CEI award grant to archive the Cheltenham Jazz Festival
- Seeing LOTS AND LOTS OF GIGS
- Recording Midnight Mile’s new tracks
- Mixing an incredible local artist called Ellie Dussek - link coming soon!
- Organising filming and recording of gigs at the Town Hall & Gloucester Guildhall
- Seeing Ben Folds
- Meeting with Martin Horwood (Cheltenham MP), Ian Dickenson (Likal), Anna Saunders (Cheltenham Poetry Festival), Jem Watts (Wychwood) & Jem Williamson (heading up the redevelopment of Cheltenham)
- Organising & managing busking slots for Raceweek
- Coordinating the AV Club (40+ students to perform, record and broadcast Cheltenham’s musical events this year)
- Drinking with Mr Andy Rea (2000 Trees) whilst he’s on the wagon, such a shame…
- Lecturing at the University. I love it. It’s one of the best jobs ever.
- Buying lots of new pairs of Onitsuka Tigers
- Playing gigs
So apologies if this blog has seemed a bit empty of late, but hey - I work for you, so it’s generally better if I’m out there doing it!
